Irene Acosta is an experienced attorney from San Antonio, Texas. Irene received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and English from The University of Texas San Antonio. She graduated from St. Mary‘s University School of Law in 2013 with a Juris Doctorate and a Masters in Public Administration. During her time at St. Mary’s, Irene served as a staff writer for The Scholar: St. Mary’s Law Review on Race and Social Justice. Irene also devoted her time to serving the community by working with St. Mary’s Center for Legal and Social Justice. Irene Acosta opened her own law firm immediately upon being admitted to the Texas State Bar in 2013.
Irene is also a credentialed mediator. She handles general civil mediations as well as mediations in family law cases including cases involving CPS and child abuse allegations.
Irene continues to serve her community by volunteering for her local school district, the Boys Scouts of America as a Cub Scout Den Leader, and the Bexar County Dispute Resolution Center as a volunteer mediator.
Irene has personal experience with the court system, having dealt with her own prior divorce and child custody case. Her experience enables her to understand what it is like to be on both sides of the table as both a party to a case and an attorney. This personal experience compels her to provide compassionate and dedicated advocacy for her clients.
