Irene Acosta is an experienced attorney from San Antonio, Texas. Irene received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and English from The University of Texas San Antonio. After working in the banking industry, she graduated from St. Mary‘s University School of Law in 2013 with a Juris Doctorate and a Masters in Public Administration. During her time at St. Mary’s, Irene served as a staff writer for The Scholar: St. Mary’s Law Review on Race and Social Justice. She also devoted her time to serving the community by working with St. Mary’s Center for Legal and Social Justice. Irene Acosta opened her own law firm immediately upon being admitted to the Texas State Bar in 2013.
Also a credentialed mediator, Irene excels in alternative dispute resolution. Attorney and Mediator Acosta has helped many cases find resolution through mediation handling family, general civil, and probate mediations.
Irene continues to serve her community as a volunteer on her local PTA Board, teaching Sunday school at her local parish, and volunteering her time with her church. Irene has also volunteered numerous hours as a volunteer mediator with the Bexar County Dispute Resolution Center.
Irene is an experienced litigator and spends many hours in the courtroom zealously advocating for her clients. She also respects the negotiation process and has successfully settled many of her clients’ cases through mediation and informal settlement. Each case is unique and will require a different approach. Whatever that individualized approach is, Irene Acosta will diligently advocate for her clients while maintaining professionalism and compassion.
